Work, Live & Play in Central Washington State, Grant PUD: � Grant PUD was built by a community of forward thinkers. Residents formed the PUD to bring electricity to the county in the 1930s. In the 1950s, they encouraged the construction of two dams on the Columbia River to provide renewable, low-cost power for themselves and future generations. � The utility serves more than 40,000 customers, with the capacity to produce more than 2,000 megawatts of clean, renewable electricity. � With two dams on the Columbia River, approximately 4,000 miles of transmission and distribution line, 20 shoreline-area recreation sites, multiple services, and office locations, and strong cultures of safety and community engagement, we are Grant County�s premier employer.
