This individual will
install, maintain, and
repair electric power
transmission lines,
distribution lines, and
transformers. Other
duties include locating
and repairing electrical
malfunctions, inspecting
substations, patrolling
transmission and
distribution lines, as
well as performing
right-of-way maintenance
(brush cutting, spraying,
mowing) and performing
general housekeeping
duties at bull pen,
warehouse, and
powerhouses as required.
Qualified applicants will
have successfully
completed the State
Indentured Lineman
Apprenticeship Program
or equivalent, will
possess a valid
commercial driver?s
license and CPR
certification, and will be
able to work overtime,
holidays, and respond
to call-ins as required.
This position requires
the ability to lift over
300 lbs. occasionally in
teams of three, lift 70 lbs.
regularly, and do
considerable bending,
stooping, reaching,
turning, and twisting.
